On the last weekend of April, the streets of Bratislava will come alive with a popular city festival. On April 25 and 26, the capital city will symbolically open its doors and, together with city organizations and city districts, invite to a diverse cultural and sports program.

During the festival, the capital city will be transformed into a living signpost of events – a network of roads, stories and experiences from which one can construct one's own route – depending on what one enjoys, is interested in or is tempted to discover. No matter which direction visitors choose, the city will open up to them with a variety of options for spending the last weekend of April.

"You can only experience such a diverse program as offered by the Bratislava City Days in Bratislava once a year. It is an event with an extremely strong community message, when we field random volleyball teams, sit at a community table, cycle through the city and we will enjoy the musical experience of the creation of local bands. There will be countless options for spending the weekend and it is up to each of us to choose which way to get to know and soak up the atmosphere of our city," says Katarína Hulíková, director of BKIS.

You can look forward to hundreds of smaller and larger cultural events both indoors and outdoors - through presentations, lectures, discussions, creative workshops, competitions, river cruises and historic rides. vehicles, to sports activities, street shows, exhibitions and concerts.

Thanks to city organizations and city districts, visitors will find a varied program for young and old not only in the city center, but in various parts of Bratislava.

After a year, the interiors and exteriors of rare monuments and spaces that are normally inaccessible to the public will once again be revealed through the Open Buildings project.

Public will also welcome selected city districts and city organizations with their program.

The varied program and current exhibitions can be enjoyed all weekend in several locations of the Bratislava City Museum, in the Mirbach and Pálffy Palaces of the Bratislava City Library, or in branches of the City Library.
