About event
Bridge Markland - jug in the box
Heinrich von Kleist: The broken jug for the pop music generation
Expressively and with great enthusiasm, Bridge Markland races through the broken jug by Kleist and steams the classic into an entertaining
Pop music court show with hand-held puppets.
The dispute about a broken one that was heard in court Krug hides another crime: an influential man harasses a young woman. Will Eve dare to accuse the perpetrator and thereby exonerate her fiancé Ruprecht? Because he is threatened with military service in distant countries and Hans Albers sings vividly “at Rocktown he has long been in the grave / and flowers are growing out of his bones”. The web of lies and abuse of power becomes more and more transparent throughout the show. Can justice prevail in the end?
Performance funded by KiA funding Berlin - Neukölln
