Greenery has been part of the city of Brno since time immemorial. The natural progress of centuries was replaced by private gardens, but also official parks, which were created in Brno since the 18th century. For example, there are the oldest public park in the Czech Republic, the first park founded by public administration, but also parks, which replaced the cemeteries or gardens of monasteries.
Lecturer Mgr. Eliška Plotěná will present the oldest and most important parks in the city of Brno. At the same time, you can look forward to the history and development of parks near Matát, ie in Husovice, Black Pole and Židenice.

Brno native, lover of local history and architecture. Over the past twelve years, the Brno streets have been carried out as a volunteer of the Brontosaurus movement over 1,500 people and hundreds of them met at their lectures. He works for the National Heritage Institute in Villa Stiassni, but is currently on parental leave.
