The band BROKOF was founded in 2007 by Fabian Brokof (vocals, guitar), Arne Bergner (guitar , piano, vocals), Rocco Weise (bass, vocals) and Puya Shoary (drums, percussion). Since then, the group has been on stages all over Germany. In October they come to the taz and play live in the canteen.
The music of the four is primarily in the broader field of indie rock; with singer-songwriter, folk and soul influences. The band avoids any fixed genre restrictions. The musicians are also independent in their production; They record their songs in their own studio “Popschutz” and release them under their label “Goldrausch Records”.
On the latest album “Blind Spot On The Bright Side Of Life” the band experiments alongside the classic line-up also with trombones, lap steel guitars and modular synthesizers, which brings in elements of funk.
The entire musical spectrum of BROKOF is available as a live music experience on Saturday, October 19th to enjoy the taz canteen!
