Bruno-Marek-Allee street festival on Friday, June 12th, 3 p.m. - 10 p.m.

On Friday, June 12th, Bruno-Marek-Allee in the Nordbahnviertel will be transformed into an open stage for the entire city. Shops, restaurants and initiatives from the Grätzl are working together to create a program with activities for children and adults, live music and culinary delights.

Program for participation, trying out and celebrating

From 3 p.m. there is a diverse program for children and families: a bicycle course for practicing and letting off steam, a drag reading for children “Candy Licious”, an “over Lego run” race, painting clay pots, family yoga, a children's rights wheel of fortune and live acts such as “Freundchen Schöner” and a children's band to sing and dance along to. Many of these promotions are offered directly in front of the shops and bars on Bruno-Marek-Allee and Krakauer Straße. If you stroll through the street, you will find something to stop or do on almost every corner. Art and handmade items from local artists are offered at an outdoor design market, and several flea markets are organized by residents of the Nordbahnviertel.

From 5 p.m. the focus shifts to the main stage at Bruno-Marek-Allee 20.

The stage will first be played by the Steirer trio “schmorrn. akustik”, which transforms well-known songs into their own dialect versions, followed by “Big John Whitfield,” a native Oklahoman and one of the city’s most sought-after soul voices. Afterwards, three DJs will play.

Culinary from the neighborhood

The audience will be provided with culinary delights from the local gastronomy: coffee and matcha variations, beer and long drinks as well as pizza, grilled food and other delicacies come directly from the restaurateurs from the Grätzl. Wine tastings from winemakers create a wine tavern atmosphere on the avenue.

The Bruno-Marek-Allee street festival is hosted and organized by the Nordbahnviertel district management in cooperation with the Bruno-Marek-Allee shopping street association. The festival is sponsored by the Vienna Chamber of Commerce.
