BUDDY v Kine Lumière: Špeciálne premietanie filmu DJ Ahmet s diskusiou o dospievaní

Your BUDDY, in cooperation with the Association of Slovak Film Clubs and Cinema Lumière, invites you to a screening of the film DJ Ahmet, which will be followed by a discussion with Zuzana Zimová (Your BUDDY) and Lenka Bednárová (ASFK), an expert on the theory of relational bonds and the life of children growing up in the institution.

The film DJ Ahmet sensitively and authentically talks about coming of age, the search for one's own identity and the courage to step outside the boundaries set for us by family or society. The expert discussion will focus on the story of the main character - a teenager who lives a different life than his peers, but at the same time experiences the same joys and worries as them. It will deal with the theme of friendship, falling in love and freedom, but also loss, pain and helplessness. The goal of the event is to bring its visitors closer to how trauma, expectations and social norms affect the lives of young people and their ability to find their own way.

This fresh debut talks about all this with insight and a great sense of humor. The film won the Audience Award in the World Film - Drama section and the Special Jury Prize for Creative Vision in the World Film - Drama section at the Sundance Film Festival. And from the 31st IFF Art Film Košice, he took home three prizes.

Start of the screening: 5:00 p.m.
Discussion: 6:45-7:15 p.m.
