The Climate Solutions Playbook: Why Don’t We Just...

Come for the talk. Stay for the view. Return for the people.

Once a month, we host inspiring talks by Amsterdam's leading business professionals. From industries covering fashion, tech, sustainability, hospitality and design, our Business After-Hours event series connects interesting people in the same industry while teaching them something new.

Topic & Speakers

There is a climate crisis that we need to solve, and people and organizations are exploring a wide range of solutions. This session will feature expert speakers discussing some of these solutions, weighing their pros and cons.

Hosted and moderated by Thom Beumer (The Green Branch) and Celia Pannetier (South Pole). The panel will feature the following speakers answering the question, “Why don’t we just…?”:

• Michał Bączyk (PhD researcher at Utrecht University): “…move towards a circular economy?”
• Miriam Bellink (Head of Carbon Development at The Green Branch): “…plant a bunch of trees?”
• Dr. Oscar Rueda (Principal at South Pole): “…suck carbon out of the air?”
