Prof. Dr. Sigrid Stagl, the founder of the Institute for Ecological Economics at the Vienna University of Economic Affairs, have breakfast and ask her this question. Prof. Stagl is currently heading the Institute for Ecological Economics and the competence center for sustainability transformation at WU Vienna. She published her research work on the subject of a fair and sustainable economy, as well as the prosperity and justice within the borders of our planet. She was also a co -author of the Austrian climate report (AAR14), who analyzes the current state of climate change.

Her main focus is on the areas of energy and nutrition. Before she came to the WU in 2008, researched and taught them at the universities of Leeds and Sussex. She did her doctorate in the USA - as the first person worldwide with a doctorate in ecological economy. For more than ten years she was active in the management of the European Society for Ecological Economics (ESEE).
