ByteFEST 2025 - Den pro veřejnost

The 1980s recorded a turning point where personal computers first arrive in our territory. We started getting to know the products of Atari, Commodore, Sharp, Sinclair and others. These computers were not compatible, each manufacturer had its own OS. And so it happened that the scene divided into camps, where everyone praised the type he had. With the advent of Microsoft and PC, many users put their pets in the closet. Yet enough enthusiasts remained who continued to improve these old pieces and kept keeping them in. Occasionally they gathered at various events throughout the country, but they still associated separately according to the platforms. Despite the permanent "sting", new friendships are now being created, people exchange experiences. Also, our goal was to attract the general public and find it in the ranks of the younger generation followers. After all, thanks to these computer "old men" we had the opportunity to get acquainted with the computer technique, which is now common in our lives and it would be a pity to throw these great machines into containers.
