About event
The Cez prah housing festival commemorates the phenomenon of housing cultural events of the 70s and 80s of the last century. Important names or important topics associated with the idea of November 17 appear in its program every year. The festival takes place in a private environment in several places in Bratislava: in the café of Rómerovho dom at Zámočnícká 10, in the premises of the former Municipal House of Resistance Participants at Ventúrská 4 and in the AVION residential block near Americky námestí📍
The program brings unique events - most of them are tailored to the festival. You can look forward to a lecture by Patrik Garaj about how Košice's youth sought out cassette recordings of banned music in the late 80s, a piano recital by Lenka Libjaková and Kriss Krimm for Alena Sabuchová's new book, Call me Mandy, a custom-made installation by Michael Papcun for the UGLY EUROPA collection or an improvised janitor's tragicomedy Oné v AVION, a discussion by Kapitalks about the Gentle Revolution with a view of the Roma, Vietnamese and queer communities and a current program on Monday, November 17, based on the reading of new books from the City Library's fund focused on protest and engaged art, meetings with guests from the Milan Šimečka Foundation and Bratislava's cultural community. otherwise hidden by the public, by art that may be considered non-standard and by the authors of works indigestible for censorship.
