About event
Come for a really strong cup of Kafka!
The orchestra invites you to a concert performance of the chamber opera Café Kafka, by is the contemporary Spanish composer Francisco Coll. Based on the darkly surreal world of Franz Kafka, this opera was commissioned by Aldeburgh Music to mark the 100th anniversary of Arts Council England. The world premiere took place ten years ago.
This year, this opera will be performed in the Czech premiere on the 100th anniversary of Franz Kafka's birth and will commemorate his significant relationship with the Prague Café Louvre, which he often visited with his peers and other representatives of the intellectual scenes of the first republic.
