About event
The classic Slovak satirical comedy tea at Mr Senator was created a century ago in times of young democracy. Ivan Stodola took "to the paškal" of all those who felt "called" to enter politics but failed intellectually and morally. In the amendment of director Karol Rédli, we suddenly feel that we have not changed so much over the 100 years. At that time, many ordinary persons, also people with dubious social behavior, with extreme opinions, with a clear career direction, with an influenced political voice, those who barely fought for people or "protectors" of the Slovak nation, could have accessed politics. At that time, they all looked like a solidarity people, claiming that they were one family, 100 % democrats, and that they would not take our Slovakia. Czechoslovakia is already a thing of the past and we live in an independent Slovak Republic. At the time of the production, the year is 2024 and we are different… or? GALLOVÁ
