About event

Cameron Carpenter, one of the most prominent and at the same time the most controversial personalities of contemporary organ music, will perform the opening concert of this year's St. Vitus organ evening festival.

He became famous not only for his extraordinary technical virtuosity, but also for his efforts to change the perception of the organ as an instrument intended only for churches and traditional classical music. He was the first ever organist to be nominated for a Grammy Award for a solo album.

For his very first Prague concert, he chose JS Bach and the Goldberg Variations, BWV 988 / The Goldberg Variation and his own improvisation.

Don't miss the St. Vitus organ evenings with a new organ and a number of artists with equally famous names.
