About event
On Saturday, December 21st, Hike Land offers a walk through the main viewpoints of the city of Lisbon, where you can admire the fantastic Christmas lights that decorate the main streets of the Portuguese capital. Come explore some of the corners of Lisbon and let yourself be inspired by the Christmas spirit.
ROUTE
The route starts at Praça do Comércio and from here we will walk towards Miradouro das Portas do Sol, then continuing towards the heart of Alfama, to the Miradouro de Santo Estevão and its panoramic views over the Tagus River. From here, we will pass by the National Pantheon and the Church of São Vicente de Fora, before reaching the Sophia de Mello Breyner viewpoint (formerly the Graça viewpoint). During the remainder of our walk we will pass three of the capital's main viewpoints: Nossa Senhora do Monte, São Pedro de Alcântara and Santa Catarina. In between, we will also have the right to visit the hidden Jardim do Torel, unknown to most Lisbon residents. This route will end at Praça do Comércio, right after passing through the Rua Augusta Arch, thus ending our walk in a triumphant way.
