Tour and visit to the Salt Museum Center

The Walk of the Salinas Route is an extraordinary living museum for nature lovers and arts related to salt culture. Despite the loss of importance that salt extraction suffered in the 1970s, the municipality of Figueira da Foz acquired and activated the saline from the Cobra corridor, where part of the route develops, with the purpose of preserving the historical and cultural value of this legacy. With the beginning suggested next to the Museum Center of Sal, structure created in 2007 that intends to perpetuate the testimony of the secular relationship between man and saline, and the saline warehouse, typical construction of Figueira da Foz, in pine wood, this route initially develops through the interior of the snake corridor, in a unique experience of permanent contact with this heritage.
