CAMP TOUR: Plavba pod železničními mosty

On the first cruise of the Vltava steamer this year, we will focus on buildings that connect city districts and shape the transport spine of the metropolis. Unlike the roads, the railway bridges in Prague are usually not names - it serves mainly as a technical infrastructure, yet they bear a surprisingly rich story about the transformations of transport, landscape and relation to public space. What role do they play in urban development? And why does their importance grow in connection with the approval of the Prague railway junction? Moderator Jiří Jaroš and Experts from IPR Prague will introduce you to the various stages of the development of railway construction and how the construction of rail tracks formed the form of Prague over more than 150 years. The route will lead from Palacký Square to the Vyšehrad railway bridge, then under the Negrelli Viadukt and to the Holešovice railway bridge. There will be other bridges for pedestrians, cyclists and trams.
