How to find your way in a city overwhelmed with information and advertising? The guided walk will introduce Prague's wayfinding, Readable Praha, which unifies the navigation system and facilitates movement for pedestrians, public transport passengers and cyclists. In the city center, the characteristic obelisks with an orange stripe and the Prague Pedestrian's pictogram will be presented, as well as their role in orientation in public space.
The route will lead from Dvořák embankment to Wenceslas Square and will be explained by Rostislav Zapletal from the Public Space Office of IPR Prague, who will describe the creation of the project and its gradual implementation. The program will also include the broader context of the transformation of the city center, including the reduction of visual smog and the unification of information systems.
Practical information:
- The public meeting is in front of the Faculty of Law.
- The walk will last approximately 1.5 hours and will take place mostly outdoors.
