Canto Ostinato Immersive met Aart Bergwerff in Amsterdam

This meditative and timeless music focuses on all your senses.

"Canto Ostinato" by Simeon ten Holt is a classic hit. For years the piece has been in the top 10 of the annual classic Top 400 on Radio 4 in the Netherlands. Ten Holt originally wrote the piece for piano. Aart Bergwerff has now edited the composition for organ and women's voices and adds a completely different dimension to this world -famous work.

Canto Ostinato - often affectionately called "the Canto" - is a meditative piece par excellence. No version is the same. The number of repetitions, the dynamics and the playing manner leaves the composer to the contractor (s). Aart Bergwerff is a versatile concert organist who likes to look for new roads and forms in the organ culture. He has been an organist of the Grote Kerk in Breda since 2012. Wishful Singing consists of five classically trained singers with flawless voices. With passion and expression they sing works from the Renaissance and Baroque to folk music and close Harmony.
