About event
Vortice Dance Company, under the artistic direction of choreographers Claudia Martins and Rafael Carriço, presents a new reinterpretation of the classic “Carmina Burana”, raising her to a new level, in a exoberant junction of dance and new technologies with the powerful singing of Carl orff. innovative for its immersive nature and transmedia. German Bavaria, it is the manuscripts who inspired Carl Orff's scenic singing. In them are exalted love, sex, drink and dance. Moments such as “in tavern when Summus” are revived in a strenuous and visceral way. It is a place where all the characters are corrupted by the pleasures of flesh and lust, which, to the size of today, sometimes assumes the dimension of madness. An exciting trip, where the characters are truly delivered to their “fortune” (luck).
The public is immersed in an environment where visual, sound and technological elements blend in harmoniously through projections, dynamic lighting, choreography and interactive technologies. It is a creation whose intrinsic strength feeds on the intensity of dance, the strength of music and the deconstruction of new technologies. technological.
