Cascabel & Buchajtramka

Great folk ethno world music evening with home-made bands Buchajtramka and Cascabel in Bombura

BuchajTramka is a spontaneously created musical body of friends mainly from Horehronie and Podpoľania, which was formed around fires, on the streets and at any public or non-public events. The name arose spontaneously during wanderings in the Balkans about 12 years ago. Today, the 14-member band consisting of singers (female polyphonic vocals) and musicians (violin, clarinet, double bass, guitar, accordion, tuba, jembe and cajon) draws mainly from our energetic folklore, but mixes various other genres such as reggae, DnB, trance, gypsy, klezmer and others, creating an interesting mixture of catchy and dance music in the style of world music. Buchajtramka released her first concert-studio album in 2022 and believes that she will start another one in the near future so that she can make people's lives more pleasant with cheerful, bouncy Slovak music.

Folk-punk band Cascabel from Banská Bystrica has traveled to different corners of the world with its work since its creation in 2014. She performed throughout Slovakia and the Czech Republic, but also visited Scandinavia, Russia, Ireland, Germany, Belgium, Great Britain and Canada. The quintet of musicians consisting of Peťo (vocals, guitar), Martin (guitar, vocals), Tomáš (double bass, banjo), Izák (violin) and Jano (drums) is famous for its energetic music, in which the ferocity of punk is mixed.
