Castañada en la Garrotxa: La Vall d'en Bas, la Fageda d'en Jordà y Santa Pau

Enjoy the **autumn colors with a spectacular excursion to the La Garrotxa region** that will allow us to visit **two of the most beautiful and best preserved medieval towns in Catalonia: Santa Pau and Hostalets de'n Bas**; enjoy a **very easy 2-hour walk in the beautiful *Fageda d'en Jordà*;** and **eat together in a popular farmhouse with traditional cuisine**.

**Summary and main attractions of the excursion:**
**1-** Visit two of the most beautiful medieval towns in Catalonia: Santa Pau and Els Hostalets d'en Bas.
**2-** Enjoy a very pleasant and easy walk in *La Fageda d'en Jordà*, one of the most beautiful beech forests in Catalonia.
**3-** Eat together in a traditional Catalan cuisine farmhouse.

**THE PLAN:**
**1-** We will meet at Plaza Universitat at **8am** to take our private bus.
**2**\- Breakfast and guided walk in **Els Hostalets d'en Bas**, a beautiful medieval town located in the Vall d'en Bas.
**3-** Pleasant and **easy guided walk** (practically flat path) in *La Fageda d'en Jordà,* one of the most charming forests in Catalonia, which in autumn "dresses up" to its fullest.
**4- We eat together in a farmhouse with traditional cuisine** (menu price: **20 euros** -includes bread, wine, water, coffee and a glass of cava).
**5-** Guided walk in **Santa Pau**, one of the five most beautiful medieval towns in Catalonia.
**6-** Return coach, arriving in Barcelona around 8:30 p.m.

**TO NOTE:**
✔︎ The walk through *La Fageda d'en Jordà (1.5-2 hours)* is easy and practically flat, but a minimum of physical condition is required.
✔︎ The excursion would only be postponed if the weather conditions were **very** adverse.
✔︎ The menu costs **20 euros** and includes everything. The idea is to eat all together, but if someone prefers to eat independently, let me know.
