Cathrin Pfeifer – The Magic World of Accordion
Event by: Galiläa-Kirche Berlin
Location: Rigaer Str. 9, Rigaer Straße 9, Berlin - Bezirk Friedrichshain-Kreuzberg
About event
With a variety of self-compositions, between tangoesques waltz sounds and african voodoo blues, flamenco and meditative minimal music, imaginary soundtracks and invented folklore with danceable grooves, Cathrin Pfeifer has developed his own sound that makes even the most stubbornly fans.
Concerts are an acoustic journey through different styles that merge into a completely independent music. In her modern accordion game, she combines complex rhythms with jazz arrangements, improvisations with surprising livesampling. Through the use of modern music electronics, she develops space -filling sound experiences with an energetic suction that is characterized by poetic density and depth. The accordion is processed in different ways. It is drummed, knocked, claped, chopped, sung.
With her virtuoso game and her musical openness, the cosmopolitan Cathrin Pfeifer has been one of the established accordionists of the Ethno/Jazz/World Music scene in Europe for many years.
Start: 8:00 p.m.
O'clock
box office: 15 €
