Caveman - "Du sammeln. Ich jagen!"

The theater comedy for everyone who has, has or wants to have a relationship! CAVEMAN takes a very unique look at the relationship between men and women.

In the “magic underwear circle” Tom, the likeable hero in the relationship thicket, meets his ancestor from the Stone Age, who shares with him thousands of years of wisdom : Men are hunters and women are gatherers! A fact that human evolution has not been able to change to date. Tom now knows firsthand what the average man has always suspected and asks himself: “Why don’t we just view women and men as completely different cultures? With different languages, different behaviors and different origins?” Inspired by this insight, Tom analyzes the strange universe of collectors: this mysterious world of best friends, shopping and sex. With an immense need for information and a dry humor and ironic look, Tom also observes the hunter's way of life. He reveals what fulfillment “sitting around without talking” can mean, why men have to flip through the television program and that a conversation among hunters begins and ends at the same time with the words “Let's go into the basement and drill things.”

The American Rob Becker wrote CAVEMAN, the most successful solo play in the history of Broadway. After CAVEMAN was applauded by an audience of millions in the United States, the modern caveman is enjoying worldwide success. The play opened in Germany in 2000, directed by Esther Schweins and translated by Kristian Bader.
