About event
Martin Hroch, Edita Keglerová, Monika Knoblochová and Barbara Maria Willi / harpsichord
The final concert of this season of our series is subtitled "Cembalomania". Hearing the harpsichord is not common. Listening to two harpsichords is rare. And being there when four harpsichords sound together is simply a miracle.
Four unique instruments are played by four virtuoso harpsichordists in compositions by four brilliant authors. The skillfully assembled program will highlight the fragile and at the same time full tones of rare historical instruments in solo and joint performances.
The long-planned concert will bring four excellent artists on one stage, who like to motivate each other to top performances, and is their joint Christmas gift to the audience .
Come and enjoy the pre-Christmas time with them at the Convent of the Merciful Brothers!
Program:
Johann Sebastian Bach: Concerto in C minor for two harpsichords BWV 1060
Johann Christian Bach: Sonata in D major, Op. 5
Stephen Dodgson: Carillon for two harpsichords
Johann Ludwig Krebs: Concerto in A minor for two harpsichords
Johann Sebastian Bach: Concerto in A minor for four harpsichords BWV 1065
