Cena Jána Cikkera

The magnificent architecture of the Hall of Mirrors of the Primate's Palace will enhance the atmosphere of the festive concert on the occasion of the awarding of the Jan Cikker Prize. This year's laureate - Slovak Chamber Orchestra with artistic director Ewald Danel will present an interesting repertoire. In addition to the compositions of J. Cikker, the music of the unfairly seldom mentioned Viliam Figuš-Bystrý will be heard. Only the 15-year-old extremely talented violinist Egon Hollý will perform as a soloist in Ilja Zeljenko's legendary work Musica Slovaca. The warm tones of A. Dvořák complete the unusual atmosphere.
