About event
For twenty-two years, the Creative Africa Festival has been connecting Czech and African artists and promoting African and Caribbean cultures in the Czech Republic. On the occasion of the celebration of the International Day of Africa and in cooperation with African embassies accredited in Prague, we are honored to award the Creative Africa Prize to the French theater scholar Sylvie Chalaye, specialist in francophone sub-Saharan dramaturgy, playwright, writer and poet from Martinique Alfred Alexandre, publicist and dramaturg Jana Paterová and actor Maxima Mededa, a Beninese settled in the Czech Republic.
The Creative Africa Awards will be presented by festival director Lucie Němečková together with the doyenne of African embassies in the Czech Republic, the ambassador of the Republic of South Africa, H.E. Mrs. Mosou Ditty Sejosingoe.
The ceremony will take place in English and French, with interpretation into Czech.
