About event
[ENGLISH VERSION BELOW]
📢 We invite you to the 18th Central European Energy Conference: Solving Challenges in Energy Security and Transformation
🗓️ November 2-3, 2024
📍 Crowne Plaza Bratislava
⚡️This year the conference will focus on global challenges in the energy sector and at the same time stimulate regional dialogue. The main attention will be devoted to energy security - especially reducing dependence on energy imports from Russia, searching for alternative suppliers and accelerating the introduction of domestic energy sources and nuclear energy.
As the newly elected European Commission prepares to decide on the future of the European Green Deal since the June elections, there are many uncertainties regarding the energy transition and how member countries, especially those in Central Europe, will react to the upcoming legislative proposals.
⚡️Therefore, several questions need to be discussed in order to find solutions among different stakeholders: How can we further strengthen energy security? How can we reduce emissions while maintaining competitiveness? How can we prevent dependence on critical raw materials in the field of renewable resources? How can we involve local governments in the energy transformation?
➡️ These and many other questions will traditionally be addressed by Slovak and foreign experts from state institutions, the business sector, non-governmental organizations and the academic community.
ℹ️ More details about this year's program and guests can be found at www.ceec.sk We regularly update the information.

📢 Join us for the 18th Central European Energy Conference: Tackling Energy Security and Transition Challenges
🗓️ November 2-3, 2024
📍 Crowne Plaza Bratislava
⚡️ This year, CEEC will address global challenges in the energy sector while stimulating regional dialogue. A key focus will be on energy security—particularly reducing reliance on Russian energy imports, seeking alternative suppliers, and accelerating the deployment of domestic energy sources and nuclear energy.
⚡️Furthermore, addressing climate policies remains an ongoing challenge, and discussions on the further decarbonization of the energy sector are especially timely. With the newly elected European Commission from June elections preparing to decide the future of the European Green Deal, there are many uncertainties regarding the energy transition and how member countries, especially those in Central Europe, will respond to upcoming legislative proposals.
⚡️We therefore pose several questions that need to be discussed to find solutions among various stakeholders: How can we further strengthen energy security? How can we reduce emissions while maintaining competitiveness? How can we avoid dependence on critical raw materials in the field of renewable resources? How can we involve local governments in the energy transition?
➡️ These and many other issues will once again be addressed by Slovak and international experts from state institutions, the business sector, NGOs, and academia.
ℹ️ More information about the CEEC 2024 program and its esteemed speakers is available and regularly updated at www.ceec.sk.
