We cordially invite you to the opening of the exhibition "Vizium 2024 - Annual Awards of the Czech Academy of Visual Art", which will take place 29. 4. 2025 from 18:00 to 22:00 in Portheimce. The exhibition itself will last from 30.4. to 29.5. 2025.
The prices of the Czech Academy of Visual Arts have been awarded since 2021, always for exceptional artistic performances of the previous year. Since 2024, the name of the award for the Vizium Award has changed. It is a Czech neoplasm linking two meanings that reflect the values for which the authors are nominated and appreciated by the CAV membership. These are the fulfillment of the "vision" in the field of visual art and at the same time shifting the "vision" of the discipline itself as the expressive field of fine arts, which is developed by Seneustale, turns cyclically renewing. These are the categories of the artist of the year and the discovery of the year. A total of eight authors and authors present those personalities who have either become its laureates (category artist of the year) or are its finalists (the category of the year and discovery of the year) this year. This year's winners will be announced from the finalists during the exhibition. At the same time, there are also books on fine arts that came to the final of the Category of the Year category (for 2024) this year. Margita Titlová Ylovsky *1957, Prague (Laureátka prizes in the category of art of the year 2022), Jaromír Novotný *1974, Český Brod (Laurate Award of the Year 2023) and Ondřej Pylí *1978, Prague. The second floor maintaining the Baroque layout and the character of its decoration consists of a total of six rooms. In five of them, they are exhibited by Kurt Gebauer *1941, Hradec nad Moravicí (Laureate Awards of the Year 2020), Viktor Pivovarov *1937, Moscow (Laureate Art of the Year 2021), Jindřich Zeithamml *1949, Teplice (Artist Artist of the Year 2024), Kateřina Komm *1990, Prague Vrbno pod Pradědem (finalists of the price discovery of 2024).
