What is LEGO® SERIOUS PLAY® Methods?
LEGO® SERIOUS PLAY® is an internationally renowned facilitation process used by organizations to engage participants, promote reflection, enable in-depth conversations, explore perspectives and generate innovative ideas for organizational improvement. The methodology is based on extensive research and helps teams approach complex issues in a fun and engaging way.
Who should participate?
Facilitators, trainers, educators, HR professionals, project managers, product managers, consultants, teachers, branding and identity professionals, and strategists can be trained to apply this methodology and implement this powerful process in the work they do. Additionally, if you work as a researcher, IT professional, executive or life coach, leader of an organization, your certification in this methodology can bring enormous benefits and can be a strong addition to your toolkit.
Program Overview
Our program is student-centered and designed to meet the needs of all learning styles. learning.
First day: Individual Work
The first day of class focuses on individual development. We will show you how you can apply this method to onboarding processes, personal and leadership development, team development, performance evaluation and even personal learning plans. This class day will include:
- Instruction and activities with your instructor and fellow classmates;
- Hands-on construction;
- Individual and group work;
- Individual supervision and coaching;
- Self-directed content;
- Reflections;
- Questions and Answers.
Day Two: Team and Group Work
The second day takes participants through a process in which individual identity is explored and insights are gained regarding how the tool can be customized for numerous workshops and processes, including, team workshops, departments, projects, products, technology, communities, branding, and organizational development.
This class day will include:
- Instruction and activities with your instructor and fellow classmates;
- Hands-on construction;
- Individual and group work;
- Supervision and individual training;
- Self-directed content;
- Reflections;
- Q&A.
Day Three: Scenarios and Systems
The third day aims to promote an understanding of how to use the LEGO® SERIOUS Identity and Landscape kit PLAY® Methods for building 3D models that illustrate complex environments, where entities such as teams and projects and other interconnected systems function, and how these environments relate to each other in real time.
This day of class will include:
- Instruction and activities with your instructor and fellow students class;
- Hands-on construction;
- Individual and group work;
- Individual supervision and training;
- Self-directed content;
- Reflections;
- Questions and Answers.
Fourth day: Master Class - Drawing Workshops
On the fourth and final day, you will have the opportunity to develop your own script for a workshop you wish to offer. We'll show you how to develop scripts for new workshops based on LEGO® SERIOUS PLAY®, and also how to incorporate LEGO® SERIOUS PLAY® into the programs you currently offer. The last part of this program allows you to practice your workshop design skills in a safe environment and receive feedback from your peers and a Strategic Play® Certified and Licensed facilitator in LEGO® SERIOUS PLAY® Methods.
This day of class will include:
- Instruction and activities with your instructor and fellow classmates;
- Hands-on construction;
- Individual and group work;
- Individual supervision and coaching;
- Self-directed content;
- Reflections;
- Questions and Answers.
What is included?
- International certificate signed by Global Master Trainer, Jacqueline Lloyd Smith, demonstrating that you have been trained in LEGO® SERIOUS PLAY® methods and materials with hours worked, with credits applicable to other education courses continued;
- LEGO® SERIOUS PLAY® kits for applying LEGO® SERIOUS PLAY® delivered to the classroom;
- Models, scripts, activities and other downloads;
- Access to our exclusive and secure global network of facilitators for ongoing support;
- Registration in the Global Federation of LSP Master Trainers;
- Marketing and sales tips;
- 1 (one) individual mentoring session with our team lasting one hour, to be carried out remotely and within 3 (three) months after Certification, to provide support with regards to the construction of 1 (one) workshop based on LEGO® SERIOUS PLAY® Methods and clarify doubts regarding methodology.
