About event
🔵 The upper cervical spine is a unique anatomical area that requires a special clinical approach in rehabilitation. It is a highly mobile region, capable of very precise movements and which has important neurological connections to the vestibular, ocular and trigeminal nervous systems. Pathological stimulation and dysfunction of this region can very easily lead to cranio-fascial pain (cervicogenic headache) and sensorimotor difficulties such as dizziness.
🔵 The upper cervical spine area responds very well to manual therapy combined with specific therapeutic techniques.
🔵 Participants of this course will learn how to effectively examine and work therapeutically with patients with musculoskeletal pain and dysfunction CC region.
🔵 Objectives of the course:
After completing the course, participants will be able to:
1) Know current scientific facts about musculoskeletal pain and dysfunction of the CC region (primarily cervicogenic headaches and cervicogenic vertigo)
2) Recognize the symptoms of serious health problems (non-musculoskeletal) in people with headaches or dizziness and know how to adequately respond to them react
3) Be able to practically examine, evaluate and recognize common clinical symptoms in persons with musculoskeletal pain and dysfunction in the CC region (mainly cervicogenic headaches and cervicogenic dizziness)
4) Practically use a relevant clinical decision-making model in the treatment of persons with cervicogenic headache and vertigo
5) Effectively and safely treat patients with cervicogenic pain headaches and dizziness
🔵 Instructor: Tzvika Greenbaum, PhD (Tel Aviv, Israel)
🔵 Course format: theoretical (40%) and practical (60%) part
🔵 Duration of the course: 16 hours (two days)
🔵 In English, with an interpreter.
