About event
The workshop for future LGBTQ+ parents offers a comprehensive view of the possibilities of starting a family for couples and individuals from the LGBTQ+ community. The event will take place on November 24 at 14:00 in Stary Lýce in Bratislava and will have an interactive format that will allow participants to actively participate in the discussion.
Main topics of the workshop
Methods of assisted reproduction
The workshop will focus on the different IVF methods available to LGBTQ+ couples and individuals. Participants will learn about the procedures, their benefits and potential challenges.
Surrogacy
Discussion will include the topic of surrogacy as an option for couples who cannot conceive on their own. Legal and ethical aspects of this process will be presented.
Cryopreservation
Participants will learn about the options of freezing germ cells, which can be important for future family planning, especially for transgender people before starting hormone therapy.< br/>Other options for parenthood
In addition to biological methods, other paths to parenthood will be presented, such as adoption or foster care.
