About event
9 Champagne wines, from basic cuvée, to 2 rosé, Blanc de Blancs, years to single -track
Friends, Wine Cellar supporters Újezd 19,
We would like to invite you to the Champagne wine tasting, to Vin. Gruet winery, which was founded in 1670 in the village of Buxeuil. To this day, there are parcels called "Bas-Gruet" and "Sur-Gruet" in nearby Neuville-sur-seine. For generations, winemakers pass on their expertise and skills from father to son. This sequence has been brought to the present and in 1975 Claude Gruet produced its first cuvée. Today, Claude Gruet and his son Pierre-Charles are constantly together and work on extraordinary wines. We will retain the wines from the basic Cuvé Selection, through Grade Reserve, then compare 2x rosé (one of the pure pinot). Subsequently, we will taste the Cuvé year and then move to a finer style that will represent the varieties Chardonnay, Pinot Blanc and Arbaine, first in Cuvée and at the end we will explore these varieties self -self -contained! Of course, we will explain the complex process of preparing and technology of production of these wines! Arrive, we will look forward to you :-). Its area is approximately 34,000 hectares and is climatically located on the border of mild and continental climate. Champagne is known for its luxurious sparkling wines, which are made of three grape varieties - Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier. The sparkling wine of Champagne passes through a special process of secondary fermentation in the bottle, giving these wines an unmistakable character and taste characteristics. There are more than 300 vineyards in the Champagne area and many of them are open to the public for visit and tasting.
And what varieties can be grown in Champagne? These three basic building blocks are then mixed by manufacturers according to their traditional conditions.
Chardonnay
First -class variety with high fineness and aromatic strength. It is the only white variety used in the Champagne area, where it gives wines a finer aroma than in Burgundy, with higher acidity, but good foaming.
Meunier
Pinot Meunier Wines are little colored, less fine and less alcoholized than wines that come from Pinot Noir. They are used mainly due to delayed sprouting of shoots on land facing the north side and in the Champagne valleys. There are five of them, and due to climate change, their importance increases due to their heat resistance. It is a white variety of vines and a white form of Pinot Noir.
