About event
From dixie to bebop, from Armstrong to Parker, but always with tenderness, elegance and musical feeling.
Champagne Lovers Band is a standard of traditional jazz in the truest sense of the word: it does not differentiate between Dixieland, swing or bebop compositions - however, it emphasizes interplay, dynamics, a large space for soloists and, above all, calmness and playfulness; this is appreciated by both the listeners and the band members themselves.
The band plays trumpet, trombone, clarinet / sax, guitar / banjo, double bass and drums, with double bassist and band leader Jan Velek often taking the microphone and singing tenderly and fiercely what the music of the first half of the last century brought.
