or the graphic track as a tool of composition
🔵 The choreographic seminar with Jean-christopho Paré
⚪️ score is not just a note. In dancing, the score may have countless forms and forms, respecting the way in which the creator who "writes" movement or dance.
⚪️ It can be a personal diary with texts, keywords, questions about solving, makeshift notes, book quotes; Free drawings, graffiti, geometric figures, conceptual maps, schemes, numerical sequences or lists of concepts grouped into different categories. All this is called graphic tracks that the choreographer can work with in the process of creation. .
📝 Jean-christophe Paré:
"During the writing process, the choreographer may be led to create graphic tracks in various forms and for many reasons. Their primary function is to create a personal manuscript that serves as a memory for ongoing work (sources consulted for the project, events arising during studio sessions, ideas outside the studio). They also have a predictive function because they offer the possibility of preparing material for the future production. They provide support for reading what has been created, re -reading the content and preparing the hypotheses for the interconnection of materials that already exist or that are yet to be created. They have a structural function and complement the sensitive experience gained during improvisation and compositional workshops. It serves as support points for questioning the ongoing project, connecting the sensitive and understandable dimensions of the creative act. These two dimensions are present in each language object. ” In other words, a document reporting on various content levels of choreography, from gesture material to micro and macro -compensation.

📝 Responses from previous seminars with J.-ch. Paré
⚪️ From the seminar I take the desire to create and pass on a game with diverse music, sound, space, simple gestures that I can develop with the intention. Create space and ground for creativity, individual creation, but also groups. Look at it from three positions, artists, author, spectator. Ask dramaturgical questions, especially what I see? To work together on the work with more experts not only from the dance world and to lay obstacles in the creative process that enable new perspective, journey, method.

⚪️ It was very inspiring for me how I can work with different quality of movement and their dramaturgy in time and space. And how they work, how these three components affect each other. It was certainly great to look into the dramaturgy through movement but also through the dramaturgy of music.
