About event
Experienced on December 7th. at 7:30 p.m. on the 2nd Advent the Christmas concert "Christmas Swing" by Andrej Hermlin & The Swingin' Hermlins in the Ballhaus Wedding
"I believe in the original. I believe in the bands of the 30s, in their sound, in their elegance. Music is not only heard, it is also seen!" Andrej Hermlin
Andrej Hermlin has been one of the most sought-after swing musicians in Germany for more than 30 years and has also inspired a wide audience internationally. With his Swing Dance Orchestra, he revives the original American arrangements of the 1930s and 1940s - without any electronic amplification, which underlines the authentic and genuine sound of this special style of music.
The Swingin' Hermlins takes his audience on a journey to America in the 1930s, to an era that was famous for its great swing orchestras such as Benny Goodman and Glenn Miller. In addition to well-known classics, the repertoire also includes rare original arrangements that bring the heyday of swing to life.
