The closing event of the TANEC PRAHA festival will be a new work by Christos Papadopoulos - one of the most prominent choreographers on the contemporary European scene.
The work combines suppleness and plasticity with sharp, explosive twists and gradually flows into an energetic explosion that culminates in an ecstatic conclusion. Christos Papadopoulos creates optimistic, extroverted and captivating work. My Fierce Ignorant Step is a choreographic meditation on the determination to live fully, on the pulse that holds us together. It evokes youth, courage, unrestrainedness and vital energy - it reminds us that in times of chaos and uncertainty, the common rhythm can be what gives us strength, joy and faith back.
Christos Papadopoulos's work is based on precision, detail and the highest form of minimalism, in which he explores rhythm, breath and the relationship of the body to space. As the founder of the group The Lion and the Wolf, he developed a distinctive choreographic language that combines minimalist physicality with intense collective energy.
