About event
Wednesday, September 24th. 7pm at the Clinton Street Theater. $10, no one turned away.
It's Shinjuku Tokyo, 1968. Things are popping off, and love, revolution, and gaiety (emphasis on the gay), are in the air! Michio Okabe's CRAZY LOVE is the grandmama of Japanese underground films—a swirling, crazed panorama of a counter-culture mid-explosion. The queers and queens, the Butoh, the street happenings of Zero Dimension, a who's-who of the Japanese art world, all zipping straight into your eye in brilliant and hilarious vignettes, chopped up with magazines and pop music, prepared for crazy queer hearts.
