About event
Screenings and discussions of the film Moments of Hope - October 30, 2025
Democracy cannot do without people who take care of it.
Therefore, on October 30, a network of parallel screenings of the film Moments of Hope - a documentary about civic courage, solidarity and the power of people who decided not to remain silent - will be created throughout Slovakia on October 30.
📍 Be part of a joint evening, during which we will think together about what is happening in Slovakia today - and what the Czech Republic should prepare for.
🎬 Place: AtriumBB, Horná 50, Banská Bystrica (the live discussion is at the Akropola Cinema in Kremnica)
Date: Thursday, October 30, 2025
Start of the screening: 18:00
Start of the discussion: approx. 19:45
The screening of the film Moments of Hope will be followed by a live discussion with guests from both countries:
Amálie Kovářová – director of the film
Csilla Droppová – civil activist
Mikuláš Minář – founder of the movement Million moments for democracy
other guests from civic and cultural life (to be specified in end of the week)
The discussion will be streamed live to all partner places in Slovakia via YouTube - so you can also join online or ask questions directly from the audience in your city.
🕊️ One night, dozens of places, hundreds of people, a common question: what can we do so that Europe remains our home of hope?
