The 2024/2025 season of the Cinema and Decolonization Cycle has been on November 2024, promoting Cineclub -format sessions to explore legacies and decolonization memories.
The next session, scheduled for March 8, will display the documentary a three-act memory, with the participation of the director, the Mozambican Inadelso Cossa (online), and the presence of Mozambican filmmaker Camilo de Sousa and Luso-Mozambican poet Ana Mafalda Leite. The work will be shown at 10am, in Iseg Auditorium 2 (Rua do Queelhas 6, Quelhas Building, 2nd Floor - Cloister), with free admission.
A three-act memory is a film about postcolonial trauma and the collective memory crisis, in which anonymous characters embark on a journey to their colonial past to heal that open wound. Ancient political prisoners return to the place where they were tortured to confront the colonial ghost and face his post-to-height trauma. A damage movie about colonialism and violence that questions the duty of memory.
