About event
Demography, Democracy and Development: 3 D's, 3 interconnected concepts.
How many are we and how are we evolving demographically? Do we need immigrants? Can we choose them? What are the implications for Social Security?
How will the integration of immigrants from different cultures and religions change the current form of "our democracy"? How can we defend it from internal reactions to immigration?
Economic Development as the ultimate goal of our collective life! We can "cut the cake into different slices" depending on our own ideologies but the objective must always be to "grow the cake"!
Speaker: Pedro Alexandre Mira de Azevêdo - Economist and professor of Economics.< br/>
Free entry.
