⚫ We invite you to a discussion on the new book 101: Slovak Architecture. The 704-page book about the most important modern buildings in Slovakia has sold out for the second time in a short time.
The baptism will be the last opportunity to get it. Pieces and uncollected orders will be left on site.
The author's collective decided to organize a discussion not only to launch the book, but to draw attention to the alarming state of the monuments under the current leadership of the Ministry of Culture, whose actions have forced the administrators of the monuments to hang out in protest black flags.
The discussion will take place on Thursday, January 16 at 18:00 in the premises of the Slovak Art Forum (Artist). The monument, built according to the project of architects Alois Balán and Jiří Grossmann between 1924 and 1927, is in the book as one of the 101 objects in the list of the international organization DOCOMOMO, focused on the protection of modern architecture.
