About event
The fairy tales of "aunt" Ľudmila Pojavorinska are among the most popular works for children. The dramatization of the tale Chin-chin takes the audience into the world of birds, which is strikingly similar to the human world. It does not lack humor, poetry, songs, but it also brings life lessons to children.
The frivolous sparrow Čimo and his lovely Chin-chin are looking for their place in the world together and dream of a happy home. On the way to their dream, they meet various characters - a moody bumblebee, a kind-hearted mayfly, a scary owl, a vain crow and many others who try to help them, but also to harm them. But gradually they realize that the biggest obstacle is their own laziness and comfort. Little by little, independent young ones become responsible sparrows. The story reveals the value of love, friendship, hard work and home.
The play is full of rhythmic language, songs and objects that come to life right on the scene. The production will appeal not only to children, but also to adult viewers who will find in it a piece of nostalgia and a timeless message.
This project is realized thanks to the support of the European Capital of Culture Trenčín 2026 and the City of Trenčín.
