Director Ferzan Ozpetek offers us a special mix of genres - thriller, comedy and melodras.

Pietro (excellent Elio Germano) seeks to become a famous actor in every possible way: he moves from Sicily to Rome, works in a bakery, lives with a cousin, finally rents a house in which he apparently is not alone. He finds himself in the company of members of an ancient theater society who appears to him as ghosts.
In a mysterious story with reference to the dark side of our past, reality overlaps with visions, the past with the present. Ozpetka's art of creating a group portrait is enhanced by excellent music and great performances (Margherita Buy, Vittoria Puccini, Giuseppe Fiorello). The film won two silver ribbons and four Italian Golden Globes.

Ferzan Ozpetek is an Italian director, screenwriter and writer of Turkish descent who examines family ties, love, gender identity in his work, and does this with a balanced combination of drama and comedy. His films are characterized by strong emotionality, intimate and sophisticated style, a pursuit of visual perfection. The show takes place within the Italian Festival in Slovakia Dolce Vitaj
