About event
Gertrude Stein. Writer, patron, rebel.
One of the most remarkable – and at the same time the most controversial – women of the 20th century.
Known for supporting greats such as Picasso, Braque, Hemingway, Matisse and Fitzgerald.
Forgotten perhaps because she was a woman.
Questions without clear answers.
Our production does not evaluate them. She does not judge.
She observes micro-details, looks for motivations, explores humanity.
Who was the avant-garde poet and experimenter who helped men become great?
And what would she say about us today?
Original play by Tereza Trusinová
Director: Jana Wernerová
