About event
Dramatizations of several short stories by the French master of irony and human psychology - Guy de Maupassant.
The Franco-Prussian war is at its peak. The French are defeated, foreign troops are everywhere. In these difficult times, a diverse group of passengers meet on the train to the port of Calais - aristocrats, townspeople, and a woman whom everyone knows only as Guľočka.
Everyone has their own reason for traveling: the desire to escape, family, inheritance... But when the train stops, a foreign power intervenes in their plans and real characters emerge.
Grotesque, touching, mercilessly accurate. directed by Michal Vajdička as a mirror of our own attitudes, prejudices and humanity.
