About event
The noble art of salon conversation hides the fierce, justified effort of self-confident heroines not to base their happiness only on the pragmatism or romance of secure marriages. The great contemporary English playwright Laura Wade noticed Jane Austin's unfinished novel The Watsons and decided not only to adapt it, but also to write it creatively.
After many years of being raised by her aunt, a young woman Emma returns to her original family and becomes the star of society with many suitors. However, it is sympathetically noticeable how she does not retreat from the position of an astonished observer. The mysterious Laura, who playfully communicates with unfinished literary characters from the position of a modern woman of the 21st century, begins to significantly help her in her life orientation.
Our viewers, who liked the productions of Jan Eyrová and Little Women directed by Marián Amsler, simply have something to look forward to again.
