About event
The Reader's Quiet event will bring stories set in an autocratic African country where the government army terrorizes part of the civilian population.
The Valley takes place in an autocratic African country where the government army terrorizes part of the civilian population. However, distance does not play a role here, because the situation is surprisingly similar to ours - not only because of the proximity of the war, but also because of the state's efforts to limit civil liberties. The interconnected stories told to a taxi driver in a city on the edge of the conflict are based on real facts, and they are also the most Slovak book that Marek Vadas has written so far.
