Class to Jam with Christine Cole - CI dancing as Research & Risk
Event by: Contact Improvisation Nederlands, Thijs Mullink
Location: Association Hall 100, De Wittenstraat 100, Amsterdam - Amsterdam-West
About event
In this workshop, we develop trust and resilience in the group and in your body to build skills for wild or gentle contact improvisation 'situations'. We will go to the reflexes that align and organize our movement and are building blocks of interaction with gravity and with people, just like babies learn through movement.
This soft resilience allows you to be present in the moment and release the stress and judgment that dances are tasks, where we are constantly struggling to do what we think our partner wants or try to do more, better, higher. Instead, how can we catch the ride and be present for the dance that is unfolding?
These skills will guide you to build each dance to become a memorable dance in a Jam.
Come and play!
