About event
We're turning 2!
There will be room for both jolly and melancholy at our next Climate Cafe, where we'll be celebrating our 2 year anniversary! 🥳 We are excited to create a special experience for you all by hosting Cascadia Stack for an evening of education about the Cascadia Bioregion, mindfulness, movement, and discussion.
Snacks and refreshments will be provided.
**Masks provided and required**
💚 WHAT (IS A CLIMATE CAFE)
-An informal, open, respectful, confidential space to safely share emotional responses and reactions related to the climate and environmental emergency (i.e. a “container”).
-A space for exploration of thoughts, feelings and experiences rather than what we are DOING about the climate crisis.
-A quiet, reflective experience - a haven from usual busyness and activity.
Note: a Climate Cafe is NOT a clinical space, or a replacement for therapy.
💚 WHO (IS HOSTING THIS CAFE)
Rissa (she/her) has years of experience facilitating groups in various settings, and have an interest in climate emotions, group support structures, and the intersection of systemic issues.
Mackenzie(she/her) is interested in the climate crisis and its many facets, especially how it intersects with urban planning. Please ask her about tree identification, it will make her day.
Matthew (he/they) is an experienced grass-roots organizer on animal and environmental issues, and loves connecting with nature through photography and poetry.
