Jürgen Prochnow, born in Berlin in 1941, is one of the few German actors with a real Hollywood career and has had leading roles in films such as Das Boot, The Lost Honor of Katharina Blum, The English Patient, Twin Peaks and Sacrilege - The DaVinci Code. In David Lynch's film adaptation of Dune (1984), Prochnow played the role of Duke Leto Atreides. He has received numerous awards for his artistic work.
